Now that everyone is back from Thanksgiving festivities, please recall that the title collection for PW’s spring adult and children’s announcements—the Jan. 23 and Feb. 20 issues, respectively, is is under way, and the Dec. 5 deadline for entries fast approaches—that’s next Monday! If they have not done so already—we have heard from nearly 200 houses—publishers are encouraged to go to http://www.publishersweekly.com/pw/calls-for-information/index.html?record=63 for information as to procedures and new features. To reiterate: the deadline for information, to be entered through the PW/Edelweiss portal, is Dec. 5 for adult titles publishing between Feb. 1, 2012, and July 31, 2012, and for children’s titles, between Jan. 1, 2012, and June 30, 2012. Our announcements online, which are made available to all who register, will provide the most comprehensive list of forthcoming books found anywhere. Publisher submission of titles through the portal will also provide the basis for our selected listings of the spring season in our print issues.
