One of the bestselling series of all time, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, returns this fall with its 17th installment. Author Jeff Kinney continues to expand the Wimpy Kid universe with Diper Överlöde, to be published by Amulet Books on October 25 worldwide.
Kinney extends his longstanding work with Abrams editor Charles Kochman for the latest addition to the series. In Diper Överlöde, Greg Heffley follows his older brother’s rock band Löded Diper on the road, only to discover that the world of rock ’n roll isn’t what it’s cracked up to be, and must help them see their full potential to overcome the mounting pressure.
Plans for the Diper Överlöde book tour are already underway, a staple in Kinney’s book promotions, which will include rock ’n roll themed stops, partnerships with influencers, and promotions targeting teachers and librarians.
First published in 2007, the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series has been on the New York Times bestseller list for 15 years. The series was adapted into four live action films by 20th Century Fox, and an animated film was released on Disney+ last year.
