A Warm Welcome to the Other Side

Publishing professional Jennifer Baker (c.), celebrated the release of her debut YA novel Forgive Me Not (Penguin/Paulsen) with an event at Maple Grove Center in Kew Gardens, N.Y., hosted by Kew & Willow Books. On August 15 Baker held a conversation with Brendan Kiely (l.) and Renée Watson (r.) about crafting her debut.


A Sequel Signing

Erin A. Craig received a warm welcome on August 26 at Grand Haven, Miss., bookstore The Book Cellar, where she held a book signing event for her latest YA fantasy book, House of Roots and Ruin, a sequel to her debut novel, House of Salt and Sorrows. In the new book, the Thaumas sisters must reunite when a secret about their niece is close to being revealed.


Middle Grade Momentum

Searching San Diego

Collaborators Rajani LaRocca (r.) and Chris Baron held an event for young readers at the La Jolla Riford Library in San Diego to talk about their latest middle grade book, The Secret of the Dragon Gems (Little Bee/Yellow Jacket). The event consisted of an author Q&A, a scavenger hunt for “gems,” and a group visit from the San Diego Gem & Mineral Society.
