Elsewhere, days after the announcement of Dav Pilkey’s 12th Dog Man book, The Scarlet Shedder, its predecessor, Twenty Thousand Fleas Under the Sea (#2 on our children’s fiction list), takes the lead in the East South Central region.
TikTok Boom
Hanya Yanagihara’s A Little Life sold 714K print copies from 2015 to 2022, and 2023 is shaping up nicely: Valentino’s June menswear show used the story as inspiration, and a BookTok video posted on July 25 and set to Billie Eilish’s “What Was I Made For?” from the Barbie movie has been viewed 16.5 million times.
