Che Guevara Habla a la Juventud
Ernesto Che Guevara. Pathfinder, $14.95 (170pp) ISBN 978-0-87348-913-3
This volume contains eight speeches Che Guevara gave between 1959 and 1962, at the height of the Cuban revolution. Guevara's addresses express the anti-American sentiment of the era, castigating the ""U.S. imperialists."" The volume also contains a speech given by Fidel Castro, in which he honored Che and his fallen comrades during the October 1997 ceremony in which Castro received Guevara's remains. The sections are introduced with a brief des- cription of the social, political, and historical situation at the time of the speech. Recommended for academic libraries with a Latin American studies program and any large public library that serves a large Latino population. This book will be of particular interest to the Cuban American community. Eduardo Tinoco, Lehman Brothers Lib., Los Angeles
