Temptation in a Kilt

Laird Ciaran MacGregor of Glenorchy is en route home after a long stay at King James’s English court when he finds Rosalia Armstrong unconscious and brutalized at the edge of his camp. After learning she is fleeing an arranged marriage to an English lord, Ciaran worries that she will bring trouble to his door, but he can’t resist Rosalia’s courage in the face of danger, and her determination to reach the far Highlands to find the family she was kept from by an unfeeling mother. While Roberts’s debut features appealing characters and an interesting background of ancient clan feuds and spurned lovers, the story itself is as wispy as cotton candy.
