Market Day!

Four 12-page board books are housed in a carrying case that doubles as a foldout, pop-up bazaar, with punch-out characters to play with. Each book takes readers to different market stands to introduce a concept. At Mr. Pig’s produce stall, animals emphasize the colors of their purchases (“Red cherries, please, and may I have/ some strawberries to munch”), while shapes, opposites, and numbers are discussed in the other books. Equally effervescent rhymes and artwork keep this basic introduction upbeat and fun. Up to age 3. (Sept.)
