Design Note 1: The crown with a heart hints at royalty and love, drawing the reader’s curiosity to explore more about the book.
Design Note 2: The first thing I see on the original cover is the lightning bolt. Using a larger, bolder font showcases the title, even if the book cover is a small thumbnail.
Design Note 3: Sometimes a book’s premise is difficult to convey on a cover. Using a catchy tagline can give more information without cluttering the design. This tagline, along with the lightning and clouds, hints at danger and suspense.
Design Note 4: Using a similar artistic style as the original was a fun way to reimagine the cover without deviating too much from the author’s initial vision.
