Last month, author Shannon Messenger embarked on a three-week national tour in celebration of her new novel, Legacy (S&S/Aladdin), the eighth book in her bestselling middle-grade fantasy series, Keeper of the Lost Cities. The tour kicked off on November 5 in Upland, Calif., at an event hosted by B&N Montclair and the Upland Library, and wrapped up in Southern Pines, N.C., with school visits arranged through Country Bookshop. Over the course of her travels, Messenger visited 15 bookstores for events that drew more than 7,500 fans.
