Author M.T. Anderson recently finished a two-week tour in support of his latest book, Jasper Dash and the Flame-Pits of Delaware (S&S/Beach Lane, Sept.), the third title in his Pals in Peril series. Jasper Dash, however, is the first to be published with Simon & Schuster (the book's predecessors, Whales on Stilts and The Clue of the Linoleum Lederhosen, were originally published by Harcourt under the series name M.T. Anderson's Thrilling Tales). S&S will re-release the first two books in both hardcover and paperback in May 2010, and a fourth Pals in Peril title is due next fall.
Anderson's tour began in northern California, with stops at Books Inc., Hicklebee's and Copperfield's, and most recently he was seen at the Midwest Booksellers Association show in St. Paul, where he was a speaker at the author breakfast. But amid stops at the Brooklyn Book Festival and at bookstores around Baltimore and Washington, D.C., Anderson made one especially appropriate visit, given the title of his book: to the first state in the union, Delaware.
