Amulet Books has announced the winner of its Diary of a Wimpy Kid Do-It-Yourself Comic contest. More than 4,000 entries were received, and the winner, chosen by Wimpy Kid author Jeff Kinney, is Thomas Kaili Fields, age 13, of Cathedral Grade School in Belleville, Ill.
The contest was created to show the books' fans how much fun they can have creating their own comics. “It wasn’t easy to pick the best," Kinney said. "I thought Thomas’s comic stood out because it was well written and well drawn, and had a great punch line.” See for yourself!
