Editor-in-Chief Kathleen Tucker will retire from Albert Whitman on April 30. She has been with the company since 1977.

Little, Brown Books for Young Readers has some new appointments and a promotion. Li Zhang has joined as production designer. Cecilia Vinesse has joined as marketing assistant. Liz Casal has joined as design assistant. And Alice Morley, formerly assistant manager of brand and new media marketing, is now digital marketing manager.

The following promotions were recently announced in the Knopf and Crown editorial department at Random House Children’s Books. Michele Burke has been promoted to editor; she was previously associate editor. Allison Wortche has been promoted to associate editor; she was formerly assistant editor.

There are two promotions at Penguin Young Readers Group. Allison Verost has been promoted publicity manager; she was formerly senior publicist. And Sara Zick has been promoted to publicity manager, from senior publicist.
