John Green to Sign Entire First Run of New Novel

Author John Green caused a stir earlier this summer when he announced he would sign all preordered copies of his forthcoming novel, The Fault in Our Stars (Dutton). To guarantee that every copy gets signed, he’ll be signing the entire first print run of the book—150,000 copies. Additionally, Dutton has moved up the book’s pub date from May 2012 to January 10. Green, who announced both the book title and his plan to sign the pre-orders in an online video, will document the signing process online, as well. The Sharpies have arrived, and Green has already started autographing.

It’s turning into a year full of awards for Tomie dePaola. Earlier this year he was the recipient of the ALA’s Laura Ingalls Wilder Award, for his “substantial and lasting” contribution to children’s literature, which he accepted at the annual conference in New Orleans back in June. And this past weekend dePaola was honored at an event in his hometown of Meriden, Conn., which renamed its children’s wing at the Meriden Public Library in his honor. DePaola was born in Meriden; he currently resides in New Hampshire.

Here, Fox is joined by fans at Booktowne showing off copies of Faithful and Fox’s new book, Forgiven.
