The New York Times Book Review has revealed its 67th annual list of Best Illustrated Children’s Books. Since 2017, the New York Public Library has co-presented the list of 10 picture books. This year, journalist and critic Bruce Handy; Jessica Cline, supervising librarian in the NYPL Picture Collection; and author-illustrator Jillian Tamaki, a previous recipient of the award, served as the judges.
The 2019 Best Illustrated selections are:
