Be Careful, Bruno! by José Carlos Andrés, illus. by José Fragoso (NubeOcho, Nov. 8 $16.99; ISBN 978-8-41813344-2). The latest in the Somos8 series follows Bruno as he deals with overprotective parents and his desire to play like other children.


Gotta Find Gramps by Brian “Smitty” Smith (HarperAlley, Nov. 8 $7.99 paper; ISBN 978-0-06-323668-4). In the fifth book in the Pea, Bee & Jay series, the trio of friends venture to find Pea’s grandfather when he suddenly disappears.


Love, Escargot by Dashka Slater, illus. by Sydney Hanson (FSG, Nov. 8 $18.99; ISBN 978-0-374-31426-2). The third book in the Escargot series finds Escargot excited to celebrate a Snailentine’s Day Party but winding up among some surprising guests.


Mia in the Mix by Coco Simon, illus. by Glass House Graphics (Simon Spotlight, Nov. 15 $11.99; ISBN 978-1-665-91415-4). In the second addition to the Cupcake Diaries: The Graphic Novel series, Mia must decide between befriending the squad of popular girls who have taken interest with her or sticking with her beloved Cupcake Club.
