Speak: The Graphic Novel by Laurie Halse Anderson; illus. by Emily Carroll. Farrar, Straus and Giroux, $21.99; ISBN 978-1-250-29476-0. Anderson’s award-winning novel Speak, which follows high school student Melinda grappling with the aftermath of her assault by a popular upperclassman, is now available for readers in a graphic novel adaptation.
