The Great Cool Ranch Dorito in the Sky by Josh Galarza. Holt, $19.99; ISBN 978-1-250-90771-4. When his food journal goes viral on school socials, Brett finds himself the center of unwelcome attention, and a new friendship offers him a chance to face his complicated relationship with food. The YA book received a starred review from PW.

I Will Never Leave You by Kara A. Kennedy. Delacorte, $19.99; ISBN 978-0-5937-0746-3. Picture Purrfect by Hilda Eunice Burgos, illus. by Siara Faison. Holt, $16.99; ISBN 978-1-25090-374-7. Burgos centers the relationship between a stray cat and Miguel, a Dominican American boy who loves to draw, in this family-oriented series opener about the bonds that make life sweet.
