Darkly by Marisha Pessl. Delacorte, $19.99; ISBN 978-0-5937-0655-8. Dia and her six fellow interns are taken to a small North Sea Island off the coast of England, where they find their job for the mysterious Louisiana Veda Foundation to be much different—and far more deadly—than advertised. The YA book received a starred review from PW.

Heart-Shaped Lies by Elizabeth Agyemang. Delacorte, $19.99; ISBN 978-0-593-48449-4; $12.99 paper ISBN 978-0-593-48452-4. Three teens band together to exonerate themselves after learning they simultaneously dated the same internet prankster and are now implicated in his murder.

Ice Journey of the Polar Bear by Martin Jenkins, illus. by Lou Baker-Smith. Candlewick, $18.99; ISBN 978-1-5362-3571-5. Through the lens of climate change, Jenkins depicts a female polar bear’s arduous winter journey.

Michael Vey 10 by Richard Paul Evans. Simon Pulse, $19.99; ISBN 978-1-665-91958-6. In the final installment of the Michael Vey series, Michael and the Electroclan must pull off a mission to rescue their friend Abi and go up against a group with powers just as strong as theirs.

Not for the Faint of Heart by Lex Croucher. Wednesday, $20; ISBN 978-1-250-84723-2. Croucher presents a queer reimagining of the Robin Hood legend through the eyes of his granddaughter Mariel Hartley-Hood, who is determined to rescue her father even while falling for “Clem” Causey, the hostage she’s trading for him.

The Storm by Damián, illus. by Àlex Fuentes. Papercutz, $12.99 paper; ISBN 978-1-545-81220-4. A school field trip to the Knights Templar castle ruins goes awry for four friends and their archenemy in this whirlwind graphic novel series starter.
