Disney Publishing Worldwide president Russell Hampton will step down on May 4 after six years in the position. In an e-mail to company employees, Hampton did not state what his upcoming plans were, but did make mention of the recent successes including, "Our core publishing business is bucking industry trends and showing great vibrancy. Equally important, the Company has supported DPW's investment in new businesses such as Disney English, Digital Publishing and Digital Learning."
Last week, Disney Publishing announced it will move its offices from White Plains to California and New York City. Hampton said in the e-mail that "the announced move of the business from New York to Los Angeles seems like a natural transition point for me to pass on the mantle of leadership."
