Joining the ranks of publishers that are going digital to reach young readers during the coronavirus outbreak, DC has launched a series of virtual activities featuring the publisher’s middle grade authors and illustrators. DC Kids Camp debuted on March 25 at 10 a.m. PT on Twitter and Instagram with the video “Make a Green Lantern Ring with Minh Lê,” followed today by “Superman Origami with Gene Luen Yang.”
Forthcoming programs will lead children through additional DIY crafts, draw-alongs, comics tutorials, and other superhero-themed exercises. Downloadable materials will be distributed daily across DC Kids social platforms. Parents and guardians can also receive DC Kids Camp content directly on Mondays and Fridays by signing up for the DC Family newsletter.
