NorthSouth Books has announced that Andie Krawczyk will join the company in the dual role of managing director and sales and marketing director. Krawczyk will lead the U.S. program, placing attention on garnering library support for NorthSouth’s picture books. Before joining NorthSouth, Krawczyk was director of institutional and independent trade marketing at Chronicle Books. She replaces Riky Stock, who left the company last February.
“As a long admirer of NorthSouth Books and their dedication to the craft of the picture book, I am thrilled to be joining the team,” Krawczyk said in a statement. “I look forward to growing NorthSouth’s recognition and prominence in the U.S. market and, in collaboration with editorial, helping shape upcoming lists to reach every young reader.”
NorthSouth is based in New York City, and its parent company NordSüd Verlag is located in Zurich, Switzerland and publishes children’s literature from around the world.
