Jonah Heller has been promoted to senior editor at Peachtree and Peachtree Teen, from editor.

Amanda Close, senior v-p, children's sales and strategic market development at Penguin Random House, is stepping down from her position at the end of June. Close, who succeeded Felicia Frazier in 2022, joined Random House in 2001.

Random House Children's Books has one promotion and three new hires. Catherine O’Mara has been promoted to marketing manager, trade marketing, from associate manager. Kristin Guy has joined as associate marketing manager; she previously worked at Allied Global Marketing. Maria Vitale has joined as marketing assistant, young readers; previously she was publicity assistant at St. Martin's Press. Gabriella Murdoch has joined as marketing assistant, young adult; previously she was an academic marketing intern at Bloomsbury.

Jenny Lu has joined HarperCollins Children's Books as publicity manager; previously she was senior publicist at Union Square & Co.

Beverly Horowitz, senior v-p and publisher of Delacorte Press, an imprint of Random House Children's Books, will retire at the end of May. Her career has spanned five decades, beginning in the editorial department at Little, Brown in 1973. She held positions in publicity, academic marketing, and school and library marketing at various houses, returning to editorial at Dell/Delacorte in 1979, and staying with the company through its several mergers.

Wendy Loggia, v-p and senior executive editor at Delacorte Press, has been promoted to v-p and publisher.

Krista Marino, v-p and senior executive editor at Delacorte Press, has been promoted to v-p and associate publisher.

Scholastic has two new hires. Lindsey Owen, formerly a script coordinator at Nickelodeon, has joined as editorial assistant. John Long, previously at CUNY's School of Professional Studies, has joined as trade frontlist planner.

Jennifer B. Greene has joined Nosy Crow Inc. as editor, after working with the company as a consultant for several months. She previously worked for 25 years at Clarion Books, where as senior editor she worked with many authors and illustrators, including Katherine Applegate, Cece Bell, Lauren Castillo, Saadia Faruqi, and Natalia Sylvester.

Lori Steel, formerly of Red Fox Literary, has founded SteelWorks Literary, where she will continue to build her list of authors and illustrators, from picture books and graphic novels to YA and select adult crossover titles.

HarperCollins Children's Books has a new hire and three promotions. Erin Clarke has joined Clarion Books as VP, publisher; most recently she was editorial director at Knopf Books for Young Readers. Kate O’Sullivan has been promoted to editorial director of Clarion Books, from executive editor. Chris Krones has been promoted to senior editor of Clarion Books, from editor. Erika DiPasquale has been promoted to editor at the Harper Group, from associate editor.

Hidden Pigeon Company has two new hires. Tori Cook has joined as senior VP, franchise management; most recently she was VP, global brand management and marketing at Spin Master. Paula Allen has joined as publishing consultant; she is president of Screenland Literary Associates.

Random House Children's Books has two new hires. Emma Leynse has joined Delacorte Press as editorial assistant; previously she was an intern at W.W. Norton and Aevitas Creative Management. Caylee Gardner has joined Knopf Books for Young Readers as editorial assistant; most recently they were an intern at Henry Holt Books for Young Readers.

Shawn Foster is joining Macmillan Publishers as VP of children's sales. Most recently she was VP of children's sales at Hachette Book Group.
