Each year, Scholastic celebrates the beloved Baby-sitters Club series, originally written by Ann M. Martin, with “Summer of the Baby-sitters Club,” a campaign with events across the U.S. This year’s festivities kicked off in May for the release of the latest graphic novel installment Baby-sitters Little Sister: Karen’s Sleepover, and spotlighted several graphic adaptors of the series. We’ve rounded up highlights from the tour here.

Once Upon a Time bookstore in Montrose, Calif., hosted a sleepover-themed breakfast with creator Katy Farina on May 11. Here Farina (r.) appears in conversation with Iz Lawler, a bookstore employee.

On May 24, Farina (c.) made an appearance at the Barnes & Noble in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., for a sleepover-themed party event. Here Farina and booksellers celebrate a successful event.

On May 8, Farina made a visit to American Martyrs School in Manhattan Beach, Calif., organized by Pages Bookstore, to promote Karen’s Sleepover as part of her book tour.

On June 9, BookPeople in Austin, Tex., gave a warm welcome to Gabriela Epstein, adaptor of Claudia and the New Girl (The Baby-sitters Club #9) and Goodbye, Stacey, Goodbye (The Baby-sitters Club #11), for her presentation and drawing demonstration.

Cynthia Yuan Cheng signed copies of their graphic novel adaptation of Mary Anne’s Bad Luck Mystery (The Baby-sitters Club #17) at a Barnes & Noble event in Edison, N.J., on July 13.

Cynthia Yuan Cheng (l.) and Gale Galligan showed guests at Greenlight Bookstore in Brooklyn, N.Y., how to create their own comics with the Baby-sitters Club characters at the campaign’s final event on August 29.

Galligan and Yuan Cheng discussed their illustration journeys at their closing event.
