Page Edmunds is joining HarperCollins Children's Books on September 23 as V-P, associate publisher, reporting to Liate Stehlik; previously she was V-P and publisher of Workman Calendars.

Michael Kelly is joining BOOM! Studios as publisher; previously he was V-P, global publishing, at Hasbro.

Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing has a promotion and two new hires. Nadia Almahdi has been promoted to director, digital marketing for Simon Kids, from assistant director. Shannon Pender has joined as assistant director, digital marketing, for Simon Teen; most recently she was a senior marketing manager at Random House Children's Books. James Akinaka has joined as senior marketing manager, digital marketing, for Simon Kids and Simon Teen; most recently he was a digital marketing manager at Penguin Young Readers.

Katherine Russell has joined Macmillan Children's Publishing Group as assistant manager, design operations; previously she was a contracts associate at Norton.

Eda French has joined Candlewick Press as art department administrative assistant; she was previously an intern in the art department.

Bartek Jelonek has joined the Lego Group as head of global publishing. He has spent the last 13 years at DC Comics, where he served as director of international publishing and, most recently, director of international sales.

Gemma Cooper is leaving the Bent Agency to open her own agency, Gemma Cooper Literary, on October 1. She specializes in chapter books and middle-grade fiction, and is also looking for select picture books, YA fiction, and graphic novels. She can be reached here.
