Christianbook.com president Ray Hendrickson announced Thursday that the company’s CBDReader is now available in the Apple App Store and the Android Market as a free download to any iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch and to more than 475 Android-based smart phones and tablets.

In a statement, Hendrickson said, “These native apps provide our customers with more flexibility and an even better reading experience on devices they already own, without having to purchase another expensive electronic device.” Before the addition, users had the CBDReader HTML5 web app option for PCs and for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod. They could also download e-books to the Nook, Kobo eReader, and Sony Reader. The new apps will store users’ e-books and bookmarks on the Christianbook.com cloud, enabling them to move from one device to another as they read.

Christianbook.com is the online component of Christian Book Distributors, a mail-order bookstore that sends out more than 65 different catalogues to millions of customers each year. It's e-book store offers new customers free samples of every e-book it carries, and existing customers can download free complete e-books from a continually updated special selection.
