Random House Digital, working with author and physicist Stephen Hawking, has created an iPad app called Stephen Hawking’s Snapshots of the Universe. The $4.99 app, available now in Apple's App Store, teaches, the publisher explained, "Hawking’s complex physics theories in an interactive, easy-to-understand format."
The app, while not being tied to any specific book by Hawking and published by Random House, is, instead, the publisher said, "a complement" to Hawking's books with the house. The app also marks the first app Hawking has done.
