After announcing it will release more than 120 Classics Illustrated comics as e-books on the Apple platform, Boston area e-book/app developer and publisher Trajectory is now releasing the line through the Kobo e-bookstore and the 7-inch Kobo Vox tablet e-reader.

Trajectory CEO Jim Bryant said, “Our Canadian partners at Kobo are wonderful supporters of digital comics and graphic novel content with the Kobo Vox. Making the Classics available in digital form brings these brilliant works to where people live now, on their digital devices."

Earlier this month, Trajectory announced it had acquired the digital rights to 123 Classics Illustrated titles, the original comics adaptations of classic literary works like Frankenstein, Huckleberry Finn and Alice in Wonderland. Now the titles will be available through the Canadian e-book retailer and e-reading software developer Kobo, its e-bookstore and through its Kobo Vox tablet. Classics Illustrated digital titles will sell for $4.99.

“We’re thrilled to offer Classics Illustrated titles to our customers around the world,” said Michael Tamblyn, Kobo executive v-p content, sales and merchandising.
