Last week, U.S. attorneys filed its proposed timetable for Penguin to complete its Tunney Act review and to join the DoJ’s final settlement to alleged e-book price-fixing charges.
The United States says the public notice process in the Federal Register and other publications is now mostly complete, and at this time should begin the 60-day public comment period, which would end on or about March 5, 2013.
The United States would then file comments it receives and its Response to Comments by no later than April 5, 2013.
The DoJ would then post the public comments on its website, and the United States expects to move for entry of the proposed Final Judgment by no later than April 19, 2013.
Should the court request additional briefings, the United States proposes that party responses to the United States’ motion for entry of the proposed Final Judgment be filed by no later than May 3, 2013.
The United States’ reply in support of its motion for entry of the proposed Final Judgment be filed by no later than May 10, 2013.
