E-book publisher Diversion Books has launched EverAfter, a bookstore app dedicated to romance titles. The new retail app offers customers more than 100,000 titles from major publishers and indie authors.
The app is available from Apple’s App store, and from Google's Google Play store. To attract customers, EverAfter will offer special pricing, book recommendations, flash sales and thousands of free books.
Paired with the EverAfter app is EverAfterRomance.com, a website where consumers can download the app or sign up for the EverAfter mailing list. (EverAfterRomance.com is not to be confused with a similar, but unrelated, romance e-book retailer in Australia: everafter.com.au.)
Consumers who download the EverAfter app by November 10, and create an account, will get a free copy of bestseller Alessandra Torre’s erotic novel, Sex Love Repeat.
Publishers offering titles through EverAfter include Kensington, Samhain, Ellora’s Cave, and Samhain. Authors include Nora Roberts, E.L. James, Nalini Sing, Debbie Macomber and many others.
Scott Waxman, the literary agent who launched Diversion Books, is also the CEO and Founder of EverAfter. He said that he believes romance readers will "love the ease and convenience" that the app offers. He also added that he thinks the EverAfter app will help authors by diversifying the retail market "where the largest platforms have become more focused on the discovery of their exclusive titles.”
