Our big feature this week is about the emerging market of Millennial readers. They're young; they're cool; they were born into a world of omnipotent, hyper-fast technology; their eyes are glued to their phones. But do they read e-books? That's our question for this week.
A bit of background on this: I teach college students sometimes, and, for fun, I always ask them whether they read e-books. While they do much of their reading in corners of the Internet I'll never understand, most of them won't touch an e-reader nor read a book on any other device. They want print books--e-books make no sense to them. They want something, it seems, solid and real in media diet.
So, what about you (if you're a Millennial) or the Millennials in your life: do Millennials read e-books? Why? Why not?
