Open Road Integrated Media has announced a partnership with Ingram to distribute their print-on-demand titles, including the 36-author “e-riginal” collaborative novel Hotel Angeline, through Ingram’s Espresso Book Machine channel and Lightning Source's print-on-demand network.
To promote the new initiative, two Espresso-equipped bookstores in Seattle, Third Place Books and University Bookstore, will be holding promotional events next week for Hotel Angeline, the product of a week-long on-stage marathon writing event “The Novel: Live!”, organized by nonprofit Pacific Northwest authors’ collective Seattle7Writers. Vladimir Verano of Third Place Books praised the print-on-demand scheme, which gives the store freedom to “choose how many to have on the shelves and on display” as needed: “we don’t have to worry about cumbersome returns, or any delays in re-ordering.”
