Writer and editor Marisa Bulzone died on December 19 in Manhattan at age 60.
In addition to writing and collaborating on several award-winning books in the cookbooks space, Bulzone held executive editorial positions at Hearst Books and Stewart, Tabori & Chang. More recently, she co-founded the weekly e-newsletter 150ish, which focuses on local food artisans working within a 150-mile radius of New York City.
Among the authors she edited over her 35-year career are Alton Brown, Sara Moulton, Melissa Ben-Ishay, and Peter Callahan.
A memorial service is planned for a later date.
