Publishers and booksellers alike have expressed enthusiasm for the new Editors’ Hours program at BookExpo, designed to take bookseller and editor interaction to a new level. Dedicated periods have been assigned for specific editors to be available at their booths or meeting rooms to chat up—one-on-one—the titles they are most excited about, and to arm booksellers with key information to hand-sell to customers. The program quietly launched yesterday with only one publisher (Behrman House) scheduled for the first session, but sessions 2 to 4 are packed. Here is a schedule of who is where and when. BookExpo is providing concierges in each aisle to direct booksellers to where they want to go.
Session 2: Today, 11 a.m.–1 p.m.
Session 3: Today, 1–2 p.m.
Session 4: Tomorrow, 1–2 p.m. ß
