Knopf Wins Debut Novel About 'Dr. Zhivago' for Seven Figures
A debut novel about the 1957 publication of 'Dr. Zhivago,' called 'We Were Never Here,' has been acquired by Knopf's Jordan Pavlin after a 14-bidder auction. Pavlin called the buzzed-about title, by a recent grad of the MFA program at the University of Texas at Austin, a "literary page-turner."
