Hearst Magazines and Sterling Publishing have renewed their long-term trademark licensing agreement granting Sterling the rights to create and publish books under the Hearst Books imprint with Hearst Magazines’ trademarks worldwide. Under the deal, Sterling has produced a number of lifestyle and cookbooks based on Hearst’s magazines which include Cosmopolitan, Country Living, Good Housekeeping, and Marie Claire. Recent top titles include the Cosmo Kama Sutra with 460,000 copies sold and the Good Housekeeping series of cookbooks.
“We are thrilled to have extended our relationship with Hearst,” said Sterling president Marcus Leaver. Hearst and Sterling have been publishing together for nine years. Lead titles planned for this fall are Good Housekeeping’s Drop 5 Pounds, Cosmo’s 365 Nights of Hot Sex, and Harper Bazzar’s Fashion.
