Harper Business has signed a new book by business guru, Jim Collins, Great By Choice: Uncertainty, Chaos and Luck--Why Some Thrive Despite Them All. The book, which Collins is writing with Morten T. Hansen, is set for an October 11 release, and will debut a decade after Collins' last book, the major bestseller, Good to Great. The new deal will also see a number of Collins' backlist titles, including Good to Great and Built to Last, bow in e-book.

Hollis Heimbouch, v-p and publisher of Harper Business, negotiated the deal, through which four Collins titles are now set to publish in e-book with Good to Great coming out in digital on July 19, followed by Built to Last on August 9, How the Mighty Fall on September 6, and Good to Great and the Social Sectors on September 27.

The new book, Harper said, poses the question: "why do some companies thrive in uncertainty, even chaos, and others do not?" The publisher went on to call the book "classic Collins: contrarian, data-driven, and uplifting."
