As Harlequin expands more heavily into nonfiction, the publisher has announced a deal with the creators of the popular YouTube series, Sh*t Girls Say, Kyle Humphrey and Graydon Sheppard.
The YouTube videos, which mock behavior some might consider stereotypically feminine, is paired with a Twitter account that has over 1 million followers. The videos, meanwhile, have drawn over 28 million views. The book will feature full-color pictures and, as Harlequin put it, “capture the hilarious essence of silly everyday phrases used by women.”
Deborah Brody acquired world rights to the book from Simon Greene at CAA, and Harlequin is planning to release Sh*t Girls Say in hardcover in October 2012.
