In what could be the biggest print run ever for a journal, Vintage Books is teaming with E.L. James to publish Fifty Shades of Grey: Inner Goddess (A Journal) on May 1, just in time for Mother’s Day. Vintage said the “bonded-leather soft cover journal will offer readers and aspiring writers a place where they can record their innermost thoughts,” and has set a first printing of 125,000 copies.
Inner Goddess, priced at $16.99, will include a foreword by E L James, excerpts from her Fifty Shades novels, writing tips, a writing playlist, and fully-lined pages for readers to express their own “inner goddess.” The journal, pages are divided into sections inspired by her protagonists, Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey.
