Rhonda Byrne, the author behind the New Age megahit The Secret, has a new book called Hero set for November 19. Simon & Schuster's Atria Publishing Group, which also published The Secret, announced the book on Wednesday morning.
Hero, S&S said, will offer insight from 12 of the "most successful people living in the world today." Judith Curr, president and publisher of Atria, explained that the book will "inspire and show us all how to search for, find, and live our dreams."
Like The Secret, which espoused a simple plan to ahieve lofty goals--think positive thoughts to get the things you want--Hero, from S&S's description, will aim to strike a similar chord. According to S&S, Hero will reveal "that each of us was born with everything we need to live our greatest dream--and that by doing so we will fulfill our mission and literally change the world."
S&S said that The Secret has over 25 million copies in print worldwide. Byrne's other two titles--2010's The Power and 2012's The Magic--have also fared well, though not nearly as well as The Secret. The Power, S&S said, has over 3 million copies in print, while The Magic has over 1 million in print.
The hardcover of Hero will be released, simultaneously, with an e-book edition and distributed by S&S outposts in Canada, the U.K., Australia and India. S&S is also planning a Spanish-language edition for U.S. distribution.
