I was honored to be named a finalist for the 2013 min Awards, and at the awards breakfast, I was reminded once again of all the talented people in this business with whom I’ve had the pleasure of working over the last 20 years. These awards, which are sponsored by MINonline annually, honor sales excellence. I was nominated in the category of sales team leader, total integrated program, B2B.
BookExpo America (BEA) ran from May 30th – June 1st at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York. With approximately 20,000 attendees from all over the world, I got a chance to see and visit with many Publishers Weekly advertisers, media planners and friends from across the years. I also met for the first time many people within the PW community, including subscribers and fans, librarians, schoolteachers, booksellers, agents, reps, authors, “power readers” and others who count books as all or part of their business.
Publishers Weekly is growing. At BEA, I heard more than one person comment favorably on PW’s expansion across media, commending the way PW has kept the focus on its excellent editorial as it nurtures organic growth.
I’d like to hear your comments and ideas about how we can work together and tap into the PW community. Contact me. Let’s have a conversation.
Best wishes,
Cevin Bryerman
