Once Upon a Time in Asheville to Close
After the sudden death of Stan Collins this summer, his widow, Mary Collins plans to close Once Upon a Time Toys & Books in Biltmore Village in Asheville, N.C., the store they cofounded 23 years ago.

2015 Sees Opening of 60 Indie Bookstores
After independent bookstores saw a year of strong openings in 2014, the trend continued last year, with the ABA reporting that 60 new indies opened in 2015. In 2014, ABA members opened 59 stores.

Juenemann to Head PNBA
Brian Juenemann has been named executive director of the Pacific Northwest Booksellers Association. Juenemann, who has been marketing director of the organization, is replacing outgoing executive director Thom Chambliss.
