Alibris, an online marketplace for books and other media, has entered into a partnership with Bookbyte.com, an online retailer of used and new textbooks, that will give Bookbyte shoppers access to 100 million items, including new and used textbooks, offered for sale by Alibris’s networks of independent resellers.

The partnsership is enabled by the Alibris E-commerce integration Framework, a software platform that allows Alibris partners to control and brand the shopping experience of their members. “ We’re excited to partner with Bookbyte to help them provide more affordably priced textbooks to their student customers,” Alibris CEO Brian Elliott said.

Andres Montgomery, chief strategy officer for Bookbyte, agreed. “We believe that the outcome of this arrangement will benefit our students in the best way possible, with lower costs on more available titles.”
