In the wake of John Groton’s departure last month after just over a year as v-p of sales, National Book Network has reorganized its sales team.

As part of the reorganization NBN rehired Spencer Gale, who will take over as NBN’s national accounts manager at Barnes & Noble and will work with NBN publishers as an account manager. The company also brought on Ron Powers, former v-p of sales for national accounts at Ingram Content Group, to head NBN’s Fusion eBook business.

In addition, Jason Brockwell has been named director of sales; he previously sold to Amazon and Barnes & Noble and will continue to manage Amazon. NBN and Rowman & Littlefield Publishing Group CEO Jed Lyons praised Brockwell. “This broad market knowledge, along with his passion for the industry, positions him well to lead the NBN sales team and continue our client focused approach,” he said.

The reorganization is the company’s second this year. In January, it eliminated seven positions.
