As anticipated, Random House will provide "2-Day Transit" for the third year in a row to booksellers during the all-important fourth quarter, from November 1, 2014 to January 30, 2015.
Weather permitting, orders received in the Random House order system by 3pm Eastern will ship no later than the following business day and will be delivered from the publisher’s loading dock to the account in no more than two days.
According to company officials, all Random House adult and children’s hardcover and paperback frontlist and backlist titles are eligible for 2-Day Transit, as are titles published by Random House clients of Penguin Random House Publisher Services.
Because Penguin titles are not yet integrated into the company’s Westminster, Md., and Crawfordsville, Ind., facilities, those books are not part of this year’s 2-Day Transit program. Full integration, and tandem opportunities for accounts, are expected in 2015.
