MoCCA Art Festival
The Museum of Comics and Cartoon Art Festival will be held this weekend at the Puck Building in New York City. The event will be open from 11 am to 6 pm on both Saturday and Sunday. Prince of Persia GN Trailer
First Second has released a trailer on their website for their upcoming graphic novel, Prince of Persia, based on the video game of the same name. The GN will be released in the fall of 2008, and a new game will be released in November 2008.

Comics Symposium at NYU
The New York Institute for the Humanities at NYU and MoCCA are sponsoring an all day symposium on comics. The event will be held at the Cantor Film Center at NYU, and will be held from 11 am until 9:30 pm. Guests at the event include Lynda Barry, David Hajdu, Hope Larson, Gary Panter, Mo Willems, and Art Spiegelman. The programming schedule along with other information can be found at the New York Institute for the Humanities website. The event is free and open to the public.

Cartoonists Discussion in NYC
Dan Nadel of PictureBox, Kim Deitch, Evan Dorkin, and Lauren Weinstein will be speaking at Galapagos in Brooklyn, NY on Wednesday June 4. The discussion is hosted by AIGA/ NY, a professional association for design. The event will run from 7 to 8 pm and costs $30 for the general public. Signing at Books of Wonder
George O’Conner will be signing books at Books of Wonder in New York City on June 5 to promote his new picture book, Uncle Bigfoot. Nick Bruel, Jason Chin, Titus Thomas and Cricket Azima will also be present. The event will run from 5 to 7 PM, and there will be free refreshments provided by Cupcake Café. Abrams Wimpy kid holds steady at #1, followed by DC Comics's Batman: The Killing Joke, while Marvel has 4 titles on this month's list led by Secret Invasion: The Infiltration at #5.
