In this issue we’re teaming up with our colleagues at Library Journal and School Library Journal to launch Libraries and Graphic Novels, a new content category at PW Comics Week that will highlight news and information on comics and graphic novels specifically aimed at libraries.

While this new category will highlight news, columns and content generated by our sister library publications, we will also use it for original material aimed at the library market. We expect to use this newsletter category to highlight the importance of libraries to the growth of the comics and graphic novels market, while extending the life and reach of this content across our broad readership of publishing professionals and consumers. Over the last 20 years, librarians have been an incredible force behind the mainstreaming of comics and graphic novels as suitable reading material—both for educational purposes and for entertainment—for children as well as for adults. Indeed Librarians have always been a big part of the PW Comics Week audience and we intend to use this periodic column to highlight information on comics and graphic novel publishing that targets their needs.
