Walt Simonson, Joe Quesada and Jim Steranko Live in NYC

Comics legends Walt Simonson and Jim Steranko as well as comics creator and Marvel Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada will appear together for a panel discussion on the visual aspects of comics creation at the Society of Illustrators starting at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11. The Society of Illustrators is located at, admission is $15 for non-members, $10 for members and $7 for students

Jason Shiga's Empire State Book Launch

Comics creator Jason Shiga will premiere his highly anticipated new graphic novel Empire State (Not A Love Story) with a launch party at The Escapist in Berkley. The event takes place from 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, May 12, at The Escapist located at 3090 Claremont Avenue, Berkley, CA and is free to the general public.

Dallas Comic Con

On May 21-22, the 2011 Dallas Comic Con will take place, featuring such guests as Stan Lee, Ethan Van Sciver and Leonard Nimoy. Dallas Comic Con will be located at the Irving Convention Center at 500 West Los Colinas Boulevard, Irving, Texas. Hours are 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $15 per day before May 17 and $20 thereafter, while children 12 and under may enter free of charge.

Monte Schulz On Peanuts & His Father

Monte Schulz, son of Peanuts creator Charles Schulz will give a talk at the Cartoon Art Museum in San Francisco on June 2, about his father, Peanuts and Monte's own new book The Last Rose of Summer. The event takes place from 7 - 9 p.m. at the Cartoon Art Museum located at 655 Mission Street, San Francisco, CA. Admission is free to the general public.

Heroes Con in June

On June 3-5, Heroes Con 2011 will take place in Charlotte, North Carolina and feature such guests as Becky Cloonan, Frank Cho, Darwyn Cook and Terry Moore as well as PW Comics World's own Heidi MacDonald. Heroes Con 2011 will be located at the Charlotte Convention Center at 501 South College Street, Charlotte, NC. Hours are 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $10 for a one day pass and $30 for a weekend pass, children 12 and under may enter free of charge.
