By the co-author of Eternal Smile, Derek Kirk Kim, Same Difference is a collection of slice-of-life short stories that deals with the lives of young people, including many Korean-Americans much like Kim. Originally published in 2003, the book won every major comics award—the Eisner, Harvey and Ignatz. Combined with Kim’s clean, crisp art, the stories are both humorous and sensitive with deft and believable dialogue. Originally published by Top Shelf, First Second will release a new hardcover edition of Same Difference in December.
