Independent comics publisher Dark Horse followed its expansion onto B&N’s Nook devices by adding support for the Kobo Vox, a seven-inch color multimedia tablet that also runs a customized version of the Android OS. Dark Horse is launching with over a 100 digital graphic novels with plans to add new titles each month.

Matt Parkinson, senior director of marketing for Dark Horse, said adding support for new devices was helping Dark Horse, “reach new readers around the world.” Dark Horse has been looking to expand the distribution of its digital comics beyond Apple devices onto the Android platform. At the same time both B&N (Nook Tablet and Nook Color) and Kobo have been looking to add more comics and graphic novel content to their devices.

Beginning today at the Kobo site, Dark Horse will offer more than a 100 of its digital comics titles on the Kobo Vox including such series as Joss Whedon’s Dr. Horrible, Frank Miller’s Sin City, Gerard Way’s Umbrella Academy and Adam Warren’s Empowered.
