HarperCollins continues to rebound from a weak fiscal 2009, reporting a 13.6% increase in sales in the third quarter ended March 31, to $276 million. The publisher had an operating profit of $4 million in the period compared to a loss of $8 million in the same quarter last year, a figure that included one-time charges. Game Change, Sweet Little Lies and Hero at Large were among the books that led the gains. For the nine month period, sales were up 12.0%, to $967 million, and operating profit was $89 million compared to $18 million in the first nine months of fiscal 2010.
